What is New?

Trinity River Campus....Here I come!

Well, I have officially began my new job at the new campus of Tarrant County College. I am loving it. It is a lot of work but it is amazing to be in such a wonderful environment. I am now the Department Chair of Communication and Fine Arts. It is scarey but very interesting to learn all that I will be doing in that new role. Now, just let's hope I do not fall on my face.

We have begun the journey of trying to sell the house in Mesquite and move to Fort Worth. We listed the house a week ago and have not had any bites, but hopefully they are coming. You can check our listing at by clicking here. We have done a lot to the house so we should be in business. I am anxious to get out there so I do not have to commute and lose 2 hours or more of my day in the car.
I am also so happy to have my only blog follower, Abby - me sista friend at work again. We get to be jackassy together. I do have to mention that I terribly miss Debi from my old campus. It will be strange to get used to not being able to chat daily with my best friend for 8 years. Our marathon phone conversations are only going to get worse!

We had an interesting day on Thursday! Fence blew down in the storms. I have before shots:

Here is what the kids have been up too. We went to a few festivals this spring and they are always up to no good. Here is a little slideshow of many things but will show you how we spent the spring:

Rodeo Day and Parade

Well, we once again celebrated another rodeo day at school. Steven and Thomas love dressing up as cowboys. They went a little overboard this year. Steven's class had horse races (stick horses of course). Last year we had a horrible task of making a box horse. It was a disaster. I am glad the teachers took control of the horse-making this year. Steven named his horse "Flasher". His little friend Mia named her horse "Rose". Steven's class did the Mexican Hat Dance during the parade. He was so excited and kept trying to practice all week. He was very thrilled to find out that with his boots on he could stand on his heels! Thomas's class did the Hokey Pokey and turned themselves around. He also had a stick horse and had a blast. You can see that after they got home they continued the rodeo.

Before the festivities at school there was a small drama in the playroom The new Sheriff in town, Steven, took on Thomas the outlaw. Thomas defeated the Sheriff to take back the town. Sheriff Steven's twin brother comes back to avenge his brother's untimely demise and take on 0utlaw Thomas. Take a look at the slideshow to see the drama unfold.

Last Hooray Before Back to Work

So, we only have a few days left in our month long vacation. We decided to do it up right so we decided to use our free night stay at the wonderful Fairmont Hotel a.k.a Scoot's place of employment. We had such a wonderful and relaxing afternoon and evening.

The food was amazing and I think I found a new wine. YUMMY!! The boys were fabulous and acted like very well-mannered children. I wish they could act like that all the time. After dinner we went back to the room and watched WALL-E. Cute show!
